Heartfelt Creations Design team Semifinalist

Hello, Penny here. This is the last card I made for the Semifinalists for Heartfelt Creations. I have 8 more days until I find out if I will be one of their new Design Team members. What an amazing journey this has been.

On to my card!!

This project is designed for a friend that doesn’t have an outside view when at work. Cut an 11” by 7.5” piece of blue cardstock. Score it at 5.5” and fold it to make a 5.5” by 7.5” card base. Add a 5 3/8” by 7 3/8” layer of designer paper (DP) from the Posy Patch paper collection HCDP1231. Adhere to the center of blue cardstock. I colored the flowers and bird in to add a little more color. For the flowers I used Copic markers RV-000, and R-32, the bird I used B-60, B032, and the beak YR-15. Next I sponged the edges with Memento Desert sand, and Rich Cocoa. Then I sponged some 3D Stamp paint. I used Silver-119390236, Light blue metallic -119390836, and Rose Metallic- 119391036. Set that aside for now. Cut the large frame from Spellbinder’s Opulent Ovals. I used Stamp Set HCPC3355 Scenic Combo, and colored my image with Copic Markers as follows: House: C-1, C-3, E-13, E-15, E-17, Trees: E-13, E-15 E-17. For the tops of the trees and the grass I used YG-6, YG-11, YG-17, G-12, and G-17. Water: BG-000, BG-01, B-00, and B-02. Sky: BG-10. Cut your image with an Oval from Spellbinders Classic Oval. Add Double Dots to back of the Oval and the Opulent Oval. Then put them together. Then add them to the front of the layered base. To add some decoration to the front Take your Stamp set HCPC 3545 Open Leaf and the matching die set Classic Leaf HCD736 and stamp, cut, and color the leaves. I used Copic Markers YG-63, YG-13, and YG-11. I also added one petal from HCPC 3500 Vintage Floret to each set of leaves. I used Copic Markers Rv-000 and R-32 to color the petals. I added a flourish to each side from Spellbinders Floral Flourishes.
